Hdw1 submergible hydraulic skids

The Hydac group has delivered a submerged hydraulic system for a heavy lift vessel. This innovative hydraulic system has been tailored made to fit the customer’s needs.

The grab in operation is connected to the blocks of a sheerlegs crane to control the hoisting height/ depth of the grab. The grab is equipped with three vertical mounted cylinders for opening/ closing of the grab.

The cylinders are actuated by means of a subsea powerpack mounted in the steel construction of the grab. The electr. power supply is provided by an umbilical winch from the main deck. The operation is PLC controlled and can be monitored from the control room at the surface.
