A monopile gripper typically consists of a series of hydraulic cylinders and pistons that are used to clamp onto the monopile foundation and hold it in place.

HYDAC Hydraulic power units provide the pressurized hydraulic fluid needed to operate the cylinders and pistons, while hydraulic hoses and fittings connect the various components of the system. Our hydraulic system is also used to release the gripper once the monopile is securely in place, allowing it to be removed and used again for the installation of additional foundations.
