Barge Mooring System

Due to the Jones Act in US, barges are used to transport monopiles from port to the offshore wind farm. Special mooring systems with heave compensation are used to arrange a safe lifting of monopiles from the barge to the OFW Vessel.

Typical scope of supply:
– 320kW HPU
– Control cabinet for operation
– Hydraulic mooring winches
– Hydraulic cylinders and accessories for heave compensation.
