A tensioner must maintain very stable and predictable line tension to protect the submarine cables. We replaced the hydraulic drive for an electric drive. For this application the electric drive was a better solution to achieve a better synchronization between tensioner racks.
We upgraded the hydraulic circuit of the clamping device. This system remains hydraulically operated due to the required clamping force and available space.
